I don't even know where to begin with how exceptional our experience with Patty was. At first, we were just curious about checking out some new builds, and Patty gave us an insiders tip that if you show up to new builds without a real estate agent, then the new build's agent becomes your representation (not ideal). So she took the time to go across town and walk the display homes with us, even knowing we weren't financially ready to buy quite yet. This was going to be our second home purchase, so becoming land lords was a big grey area for us, but Patty's experience delivered the dream scenario! We changed course and decided to buy a resale home instead, and the process was prefect from beginning to end. When we went into negotiations, we got everything and exactly what we wanted - the total sale price, all of the repairs covered, closing costs covered, her commission covered. And with the seller's credit she secured for us, the first year of our HOA is paid too! We also purchased during a buyers market, but compared to the purchase of our first home, Patty was an absolute PRO! She even walked us through the process of setting up our first rental, and we had so many questions. But the fact she had done it herself was such valuable experience for us to learn from. She helped us write out a timeline for when we would close, how fast we needed to find a tenant, how to create a budget around renovations, and how to find a good tenant. Even though it's not part of the traditional real estate agents responsibilities, she helped us price our first home for renting - just to see where our break even is and if it made sense to turn it into a rental. Everything worked out so perfectly, and we were able to buy the beautiful home we really had our hearts set on. There was no sacrificing on the things we wanted, and we fully attribute that to Patty. On the day we could finally get our keys, Patty was just as excited as we were. We were texting back and forth all day in anticipation of the county completing the recording, and when we met up for the keys, her gifts to us were incredibly meaningful and so touching. She knew how much the plants of the home mattered to me, so she helped me set up the sprinklers, paid for a landscaper to fix up the yard for us, AND bought me a gardening tools set! For my wife, she bought her a 75' TV- something that was originally meant as an inside joke. We were in absolute shock that she went above and beyond for us as our realtor. Towards the end, it really felt like we were working with a good friend. Having a realtor we could trust, with her depth of experience, and her authentic care meant the world to our home buying experience. Whether it's buying your first or second house, it'll come with some stress and overwhelm, but having Patty made all the difference.
